I could never get enough of the superb writings of such a wonderful person as Betsy Brannon Green.I have read all of her books over and over again and look forward to reading this,my first one on my .
Continuing on with the team of highly trained soldiers, the author effectively introduces a love interest for socially awkward, shy Owl. At times, it might have seemed a bit cheesy in the conversations between Owl and Brooke, but it was sweet and she balanced him out with her outgoing nature.
A great read....I read it fairly quickly.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for mystery, romance and a bit of danger and intrigue.
I usually love Betsy's books, but I just can't even get through this one. I read some, then put it down for weeks. I still haven't finished it. I just can't get through the mundane, day to day crap in it. Sorry, I usually really like her book.
I must disclose that I haven't read this book yet. I'm saving it for my vacation. I'm giving this book a five star rating because I have ready all of Betsy Brannon Green's previous books. I've read the earlier books in this series which include Hazardous Duty, Code of Honor, and Above and Beyond. Proceed with Caution is a continuation with some of the characters in the earlier books.
I give Betsy's books five stars because of the following reasons The development of the characters, as you read the books they really come alive and it feels like you are getting to know a real person. The story line is compelling and draws the reader into what is happening. The first time I read one of Betsy's book I was on vacation reading by the pool. I told myself okay read just a couple more pages, then it became okay read to the end of the chapter, then it was okay read another chapter. Then I found myself at the end of the book and with such a sunburn. I usually read Betsy's book in about two days if I pace myself. Once you start it is so difficult to put the book down! This is the track record with Betsy's book. Once you read them you want more and I anxiously wait for the next book to be available.
Based on these experiences I already know that Proceed with Caution will be another winner. I've come to expect no less from Betsy Brannon Green!!
Great suspense, kept you thinking. Fast moving, sweet & fun. Rough & tough. Cliff hanger. More to come. I love this author. Delivers a great story everytime. I've read all her books & only one have i not given 5 stars. She has written a lot of books. I would encourage you to find them & enjoy!
This book would do better if it were more realistic. The author knows little of the workings of the legal system, the workings of the military, and of the police. The story is all right, but it needs an author who can make it realistic, and then becomes a thriller. As it is it is a dud, not worth the time to read it, much less the money to buy it. .
The author does an amazing job of keeping me guessing. When you think you have the mystery solved - along comes another surprise.
I like that the author uses characters from a previous book. While each book can stand on it own - the recurring players help you feel like you are in a new adventure with old friends.
You need to "Proceed with Caution" when you start this book - once you start you don't want to put it down!
